The FMLS Photographer Program
Help Guide
Photographers may now gain access to upload your listing photos.
To participate in the FMLS Preferred Photographer Program, you must first register your business.
Registration Process
To participate in the FMLS Preferred Photographer Program, you must first register your business. Complete the registration process by following the steps below.
- Navigate to photographer.fmls.com/registration
– The form will begin with some basic information about the process and timing involved with registration. Below this information the form begins with a section titled “Personal Contact Details”. - The Personal Contact Details section is for information about the main point of contact/owner of the business and is used for communication between FMLS and your business as necessary. This is NOT the information that will be presented to potential clients searching for your services through the program (unless, of course, you duplicate any of this information in the section below regarding Business Contact Details).
- The Business Contact Details section begins with a checkbox allowing you to duplicate all of the required fields from the Personal Contact Details section above.
– In both the Personal as well as the Business Contact Details sections, all fields are required except for the Address 2 and Secondary Phone fields. - Be sure to review the Photographer Participant Agreement by clicking the indicated link and subsequently checking the checkbox acknowledging that you’ve read and agree to those terms.
- Finish by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the form.
Once your form has been submitted, the browser window will display a message that your request has been received successfully. You will also receive an email confirming your successful registration.
As noted at the top of the registration form you completed, at this point please allow 10-14 business days to process your application and publish the addition of your business to our directory.
Activate Your Account
Upon review and acceptance of your application, you will receive an email with your login id and instructions to go to firstmls.com to create a password.
On the Firstmls.com website, click FMLS Login at the right of the banner.
On the subsequent page, click the Activate Account link found below the Sign In button.
Enter your Login ID (noting that it is case-sensitive) and click Continue
Once you click Continue the system will generate an email which will include the finalized password creation link.
Please note that the email will contain verbiage mentioning Southeastern MLS Partners. This is legitimate and refers to the businesses and areas we partner with (Georgia, Florida, Alabama) which were referenced during the registration process.
With your newly created account complete, you can now return to www.firstmls.com and click the FMLS Login link at the top of the page and enter your username and password.
Uploading Photos and Virtual Tours
On the FMLS Dashboard, in the Product Directory group you will see the tile for Matrix. Click into the Matrix system. The first time you access the Matrix system you will need to read and accept the “Subscriber Agreement” for use of their system. Once you check the box and click I Accept you will see the Matrix homepage.
To access the part of the system you will use to upload your media to a listing, click the ADD/EDIT menu option in the menu ribbon at the top of the screen:
A listing selection screen appears.
Enter the Listing Number in the Quick Modify box (provided by the agent you’re working with) and click Edit to the right.
The Modify Property screen appears.
PLEASE CONFIRM THE ADDRESS of the listing you are editing. A sample appears below:
Note that in this example a photo already exists. In most of your work at this point that will NOT be the case, making it all the more imperative you confirm other details of the property before adding or modifying the media on the selected listing.
If the listing information shown on the screen does NOT match what you have, please click the CANCEL button below the details and try again and/or re-confirm with your agent.
Below the property details will be links to Manage Virtual Tours and Manage Photos.
Virtual Tours
Clicking the Manage Virtual Tours link will take you to a screen with three fields which are formatted to accept URLs. Please note that the first and second fields are specifically for UNBRANDED tours while the third may be a branded tour.
(To review our policies on branded/unbranded tours, click here)
When your entry for Tours is complete, click the green Submit Property button below. If you are finished with this listing’s media you may either close the window or begin with a new property by re-clicking on the Add/Edit menu option at the top of the screen. If you wish to continue working on this property and add Photos, click the Add / Edit Photos button.
Manage Photos
To add or modify photos on the listing, click the Manage Photos link. A page appears with information detailing instructions on uploading multiple photos at once, modifying the order of photos once uploaded, and how to view an image’s details.
Use the Browse… button to the right of the filename field and navigate to where the photo(s) of the property are stored on your device. You may upload in bulk or one at a time, up to a maximum of 200 photos.
Note that there is a checkbox for “Auto-generate descriptions on upload using restb.ai” as well as a drop-down box and field below each photo for descriptive purposes. In most if not all cases the agent will choose to undertake this task, but as it is something you see during your process you may want to clarify expectations with them regarding these fields.
It is also customary for agents to want to put photos in a specific order. Based upon that, it is also important to know that an agent will have final say on the inclusion of all or part of your content on their listing as well as the order and any descriptive verbiage below each photo.
If during your uploading of photos you want to remove any, you can do so by putting a checkmark in the upper left corner of the photo slot(s) and then clicking the “Delete Checked” button below.
Note that the “Delete Checked” button will be grayed out until at least one photo slot has a checkmark in the upper left corner of it.
To re-order photos, hover your cursor over the title bar of the photo you want to move (where it says which slot it’s in) and then click and drag to the appropriate position.
When you’ve finished uploading/modifying the photos on the listing, click the green Certify and Save button at the bottom of the screen.
